Cross-linking Agent – Improves Wash & Rub Fastness in Textile Printing

Cross-linking Agent is a functional additive for textile printing (screen, rotary, digital). It reacts with binders and dyes to form a 3D network, significantly improving wash, rub, and perspiration fastness. With broad compatibility, minimal hand impact, and eco-friendly (no heavy metals, no formaldehyde), it suits cotton, silk, wool, synthetics, and blends.

What Problems Does It Solve? Where to Use?

Cross-linking Agent solves poor wash, rub, and perspiration fastness in textile printing. It is used in pigment printing, reactive printing, and digital printing on cotton, silk, wool, synthetic fibers, and blends. It reacts with binders and dyes in the print paste to form a 3D network, anchoring the print to the fabric and preventing color loss during washing or friction.

What Makes It Attractive & Different?

Unlike many fastness improvers that stiffen fabric or contain formaldehyde, our Cross-linking Agent offers excellent fastness with minimal hand impact. It shows broad compatibility with most printing binders, thickeners, and emulsifiers. It works across flat screen, rotary screen, and digital printing and adapts to different drying/curing conditions. Plus, it is ecofriendly: no heavy metals, no formaldehyde.

Why Buy Ours Instead of Others?

Many crosslinkers either fail to boost fastness enough, cause harsh fabric feel, or are incompatible with certain auxiliaries. Our Cross-linking Agent is easy to use: add 2–5% of the total print paste after mixing other components, stir well. It performs reliably at typical curing: 80–100°C drying, then 140–160°C for 2–5 minutes. Choose a highperformance, softhand, environmentally safe crosslinker that meets modern textile standards.

Knowledge of popular science products

What is this product?

The crosslinking agent is a light yellow liquid (solid content ≥30%, pH 6.0–7.0, density 1.0–1.1 g/cm³), composed of polyamine polymers. It is odorless, stable (does not separate/precipitate), and readily soluble in water. It reacts with the binders and dyes in the printing paste to form a three-dimensional network structure, thereby significantly improving various fastness properties of the printed pattern, such as wash fastness, rubbing fastness, and perspiration fastness.

Applications of this product?

After mixing with other auxiliaries, add 2–5% of the total paste weight and stir thoroughly. Dry at 80–100°C, then cure at 140–160°C for 2–5 minutes. Suitable for screen printing, rotary screen printing, and digital printing on cotton, silk, wool, synthetic fibers, and their blends. It significantly improves wash fastness, rubbing fastness, and perspiration fastness with minimal impact on the hands.
